The Vecchia Salumeria is the type of deli you went with you mother when you were a child. It is a place where taste and tradition are the masters, where the original and genuine flavours of Marsala never fail to intoxicate the senses.
On our last trip to Marsala we were recommended to go to this deli by an elderly lady whom we asked where we could have a quick bite, but please a typical one. Grazie infinite, Signora!
Panini stuffed with cured meats, a wide selection of food with cous cous (the typical part of this area), baked peppers stuffed with toasted breadcrumbs, grilled vegetables. We highly recommend the 'pane cunzato'. The only flaw is that there are only a few seats in the courtyard!
The family that runs the Vecchia Salumeria is fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth trying for both lunch and dinner to delight your palate.
