Hostaria San Pietro
Sicily
Regional & Local Sicilian Cuisine
Ok, sometimes you have to wait even if you have booked. Can happen, there are only few tables and it will blast the round if those who have booked before you are 15 minutes late. But any waiting outside the room is sometimes rewarded with a wine tour.
The Hostaria San Pietro in Trapani is particular, the floor is made from retrieved antique tiles and also the chairs are all different to eachother. One nice thing about this place is the open kitchen. Another nice thing are the kind owners, and the nicest thing is the Tunisian cook, who is a miracle.
You should start with a round of appetizers, cous cous and brik (if it's on the daily menu), followed by pasta with seafood and a nice fresh grilled fish. Wash it down with a local wine and finish your meal with a cannolo and a grappa or bitter.
Enjoy your evening!
