Description

The activity begins at the foot of the Norman castle of Aci Castello and ends in Acireale's cathedral square. We will discover together the geological history of the fortress of Aci and the stacks of Acitrezza. We will climb the castle of Aci to enjoy a splendid view and learn about its history. We will walk along the picturesque waterfront of Acitrezza, strolling past the stacks and Lachea Island. We will discover the way of the mills and the archaeological/thermal area of Santa Venera al pozzo. We will visit a portion of the integrated nature reserve of Timpa di Acireale. We will walk through the baroque streets of Acireale to learn about its history and tractions. We will visit the splendid basilica of San Sebastiano and the cathedral of Acireale.
